Ground Turkey Tacos

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb of ground turkey

  2. 1 onion

  3. 2 cloves of garlic (unless if you aren't a garlic fan)

  4. 1/2 bag gluten-free taco seasoning (McCormick and Trader Joe's are GF)

  5. 1 8oz. can of tomato sauce

  6. 1 tsp brown sugar (can sub. coconut sugar)

  7. 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  8. 1 tsp dried oregano

  9. Olive oil

  10. Corn tortillas

  11. Salt & pepper, hot sauce to taste (Valentina is the BEST)

Putting it together:

  1. Chop onion and add it to a pan with 2 tbsp of olive oil on medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until the onions change color

  2. Add taco seasoning, garlic, and oregano and heat for ~30 seconds

  3. Add ground turkey meat and cook until there is nearly no pink left ~2 - 5 min

  4. Stir in tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar and simmer until thickened ~5-10 min

  5. Season with salt & pepper and hot sauce to taste

  6. Heat corn tortillas on a hot skillet 20 seconds per side

  7. Plate and ENJOY
