Ingredients:
1 lb of ground turkey
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic (unless if you aren't a garlic fan)
1/2 bag gluten-free taco seasoning (McCormick and Trader Joe's are GF)
1 8oz. can of tomato sauce
1 tsp brown sugar (can sub. coconut sugar)
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp dried oregano
Olive oil
Corn tortillas
Salt & pepper, hot sauce to taste (Valentina is the BEST)
Putting it together:
Chop onion and add it to a pan with 2 tbsp of olive oil on medium-high heat for 5 minutes or until the onions change color
Add taco seasoning, garlic, and oregano and heat for ~30 seconds
Add ground turkey meat and cook until there is nearly no pink left ~2 - 5 min
Stir in tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar and simmer until thickened ~5-10 min
Season with salt & pepper and hot sauce to taste
Heat corn tortillas on a hot skillet 20 seconds per side
Plate and ENJOY
