Turkey Burger with Gluten Free Buns

Writer: Jake ShulmanJake Shulman

Trader Joe's has some of the most affordable GF items! That is why we use their GF buns.. cause my appetite don't want none unless you got buns, hun.

This recipe makes about 6 large burgers.

  1. 1.5 pounds of ground turkey (1 pound will make 4 burgers)

  2. 1 small onion, chopped finely

  3. 1-2 gloves minced garlic

  4. 4 tablespoons of Websters Montreal steak seasoning

  5. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  6. Spray oil (olive or avocado preferred)

Now let's put it together

  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl

  2. Preheat your grill on Medium low (you want the grates hot when you place the patties)

  3. Use your hands to roll the mixture in large balls (normally we get 6)

  4. Smash the balls with your hand to a width of 1 inch and place on the grill

  5. Spray the middle of the buns with oil

  6. Cook for 10 minutes and flip the burgers half way through

  7. When you get to the 9 minute mark place the buns on the grill

We enjoy ours with our 'go-to' sauce: half mayonnaise & half ketchup! If we are feeling fancy, we add 1 dash of franks red hot.
